@aerolith Woah. I didn't even know that existed until now. I have a #DevTerm, but it's not nearly so tiny in form. And I have a Twiddler, but I am out of practice and need to pick it up again. When I was using it regularly, it was pretty nice.

I use it on my Linux-running #GeminiPDA, & someone ran it on a #DevTerm, but it should work on anything with Python3.5+ & GTK3 (for handhelds that probably means Linux). Todays #devterm test: see how long they battery lasts as a terminal for an #rc2014

Frustratingly I can’t get it to actually see the usb serial port, which works fine on all my other #linux boxen (lsusb sees it but no /dev/tty* device is created)?

One thing I wondered about before deciding to pick one up was the battery life of the #devterm .

The other day I left it on to see. It mostly just idled away, I used it occasionally throughout the day for some SSH’ing and such but nothing heavy-duty (although Wi-Fi was on all day).

It ran this way for almost 9 hours (I stopped when the battery reached about 10%), which is much longer than I expected.

Tonight I did another test but this time streaming an internet radio station using mpg123 and so far it’s been about 4 hours and the battery is at 81%.

Dusted-off my #riscv #devterm last week and been finding various uses for it.

Turns out it’s not a terrible sounding internet radio.

DevTerm by Clockwork Pi arriving tomorrow.

NetBSD has good support for the Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 that is in these things. Anyone got NetBSD running on one of these things yet?

I've not installed NetBSD on anything arm related, save for an old WinCE device before. Any recommendations from anyone short of what I will find in INSTALL?
