The #DGA just came to a deal averting a strike, per the Verge.

According to Verge, 41% of eligible voting DGA members voted on the new contract. Of those who voted, 87% said yes to the contract.

#DGA members have ratified their new contract with the studios. it’ll be interesting to see what pattern this sets in contracts that follow. in past cycles we in #TAG have wanted more than 3% per year increases to the minimums, but that’s basically impossible without a strike because it’s “outsized” from the pattern set over a year before we even start bargaining. this year DGA got 5/4/3.5 with the dangling half going to a parental leave benefit, so effectively 5/4/4.

Directors Guild Deal With Studios Draws Mixed Response As Members Review Details
DGA negotiators tried to sell the deal to their members in one of several planned Zoom calls, even as some remained skeptical and planned to vote no: "The leverage we had was historic and ... leadership squandered it."
“Squandered it…” yup. I’m betting the vote won’t go the way some at the top want it to go but I’m probably wrong.
