Played three #baraat s this weekend including one at the Colorado Singh Sabha which is always a honor. More and more grooms prefer riding the route in souped up cars instead of on a horse, which is fine except it means I’m seeing less of my friend Jeannyne the horse handler. Either way, three beautiful days in awesome #colorado settings with dancing and celebrating to my beats. What a privilege.

Fun baraat in Vail, #colorado this weekend with the amazing Lady Hawk and her handler Jeannyne. This is the fourth baraat this year for me but the first with them; grooms seem to be favoring souped up cars over the traditional white horse for the procession.

Not my first trip to this store in #Nashik but this time I had a specific goal: to buy a Punjabi #dhol to play in a cousin-in-law’s wedding. The process was an interesting experience in just how regional #India is. In the west “dhol” (#drum) is synonymous with a Punjabi dhol and of course in Punjab there are legions of dhol craftsmen and options. Here in Nashik they know and play Marathi and Nashik dhols.
