Digital weather sensors are great! Except, uhm, they probably should include calibration features in them.
Here's two within centimeters of each other, temperatures reading 22.7 vs 22.1°C and humidity 54% vs 71%.
My digital IR gun reads 22.3°C. The temperature is at least roughly in the same ballpark, but the humidity seems way off. I don't have a wet bulb thermometer to check against.
So it's either a bit humid or not at all!

Does anyone have any idea why a #DHT22 (running #ESPHome on a #ESP8266) would be giving temperatures that are 3-4 degrees higher than a thermometer that seems to be giving a more realistic reading? Thought it might be the ESP8266 heating things up but doesn't feel warm at all. Only kicking a reading out one every 60 secs. #IoT

28 followers · 630 posts · Server mastodon.flying-snail.deJuhu, ich habe es doch noch geschafft! Der an den #BananaPi gehängte #DHT22 ist Teil des Devicetree, der PIN richtig mit pull-up initialisiert, das Kernelmodul geladen *schnauf*
Dabei bootet der Pi noch und nichtmal das WLAN habe ich zerschossen.
Wenn der Treiber jetzt noch in der Lage wäre, etwas zu lesen, würde meine Euphorie ja keine Grenzen kennen. Leider ist das noch eine Baustelle. Aber ich weiß jetzt, wie es geht 💪

Integrating #nice gate motor into #homeassistant with #shelly. With Shelly Uni for ~11€ we can control and automate gate opening/closing and also reading state. Also added #dht22 for temp measurement.

Kleines beiläufiges und kostengünstiges #SmartHome Feierabendprojekt für das schnelle loggen von Temperaturen und Feuchtigkeiten in Räumen. Realisiert mit einem #RaspberryPiPico und einem #DHT22. Zyklisches Logging und versenden der Daten an den Server geschieht mit #Micropython.
Wer braucht schon fertige unflexible Lösungen wenn es #DIY auch auf eigene Gegebenheiten angepasst wurde :blobcatcoffee:

With the help of #RaspberryPiZeroW , #DHT22 sensors, #Prometheus and #Grafana I now have full monitoring for the humidity and temperature at home 😍
