After multiple reports of fruit and vegetable damage attributed to #dicamba drift, University of #Missouri researchers are testing the effectiveness of fencing treated with activated #charcoal in pulling particles away from vulnerable crops. #Mizzou's researchers will place different types of fencing between a row of #tomato plants and dicamba-tolerant #soybeans.

What we use here varies wildly based on what it is and what we're trying to control.

For example in the long run I'll want to reduce the amount of tansy mustard, but in several areas it is outcompeting the knapweed, so it can stay until I deal with the knapweed problem.

We mix in biological controls where available and also use a variety of chemical controls in different areas of the property, including #RoundUp, #Chapparal, #24D, and #dicamba. Limited application and try to be v. targeted.

I have intentionally introduced leptinella dioica to one garden I wasn’t keeping tidy and it has gone bonkers and is just going everywhere. Fantastic!

I see the hairy pennywort spreading around in my lawn which I keep a bit longer. It’s got a bit burnt because I put some Yates Weed n Feed (iron, #dicamba, etc) on the lawn.
