[1979] Dick Turpin - Series loosely based on the adventures of the real 18th century highwayman Dick Turpin. Starring Richard O’Sullivan and David Daker.
"The Capture", Dick thinks Swiftnick isn't cutting it as a highwayman and bribes Tanner the gunsmith into taking the boy in as an apprentice.
Geen idee waarom maar ik moest ineens aan deze serie denken.
Wie kent hem nog?
Was best leuk volgens mij 😄🤭

RIP Travis.
My fear even on Twtr already was that I would not hear when #DavidDaker's eventual passing happens if it even trended there, because he's not that big a deal in the Who fandom compared to some other people.
If not for luck, I might not have heard about #StephenGreif now either, from the #Blakes7 side.
He was also a most wonderful Major Gerhard in S1 #DickTurpin, with major fuck-me-boots in the background of the Daker or Captain Spiker 4th pic here.
78 & 87 in years.

Richard Carpenter was also behind the 70s #DickTurpin series where I got my first contact with #DavidDaker & his Captain Spiker.

I didn't realize the brilliance of #ChristopherBenjamin's comedic skills until I saw it again in my adult years but Sir John Glutton is 1 of the highlights when seen altogether now.
Also forever facepalming at not connecting his being at a con re: Dr Who to his having been Glutton as well until after meeting him, or I'd have gushed at him.
