Been having conversations about #digitalArchives and #digitalAfterlife with my family, and it seems like most people aren’t acquainted with the idea of museums deaccessing (removing) items from their collection. Collections can’t grow forever and still have each work get public access, should go to homes which can give attention. And more and more, people are realizing works weren’t legitimately acquired (cf #native works) and should be be returned to their homes.
