This is a fantastic resource for organisers of lit events so that they are inclusive - be they hybrid, online or in-person.

3 politely worded email requests to arts orgs and institutions for a zoom link to their in-person-only events = 3 long "no" replies from them detailing their obscene lack of imagination and creative problem solving skills.
Also, they all have a "Disability Action Plan" 🙃

Update:
1 of them has a "Digital Access Plan"!

Have seen more genuinely inclusive and accessible online "open-mic" poetry events promoted on Mastodon in the last 24hrs than in my 5 years on Twitter & Facebook.

Some #Australian arts orgs are a bit antsy that I'm tracking #Accessibility. They're ticking the "#inclusion" box on their funding apps for Fed, State, or LGA grants.
But they're not really delivering.
It's more than ramps & toilets! (Obviously necessary)

It's also #DigitalArtsAccess!
It's having zoom access for "in-person-only" #poetry
& book readings so #Immunocompromised, #Disabled, and/or #Neurodivergent creatives can share their work too.
It's 2022, not 1822!
