My trusted Coolpix 5000 β new in 2001.
First budget Nikon with decent digital output. First handy digital holiday camera for professionals. Still mostly analog Nikons though, until D200 arived in 2005 and somehow compatible with my Nikon glass. And with megabytes for print.

Tim the Cat for #caturday This photo was made in 2000 with my first digital camera, a 2.1 megapixel Casio QV2000UX. I wanted a Canon D60 but it wasn't yet available and I wasn't sure I wanted to pop $3000 for a fad. My first real prosumer camera was the Canon 10D, a 6.3MP camera I bought in 2003 for $2K. Turned out digital cameras aren't a fad. Made my living for 15 years with digital.

Found my 1st ever digital camera (the Kodak DC240) & late Dad's first digital camera (Fujifilm MX-2700).
Both still work though the Fujifilm has some issues but it will take pictures.
