Partly cloudy today but much cooler than it was earlier this week. During the clear periods, I'm seeing consistent 1150W from my #solar array.

That's 82% of rated output, which is a LOT better than the 58% I was getting on Monday when it was super hot.

The drop in output was definitely because of the heat

Do separation toilets really work? Otherwise known as 'composting toilets' these units can replace chemical or maceration toilets in caravans and RVs. We tested an Airhead unit while out bush camping for three months and the results were very positive.

Landed safe at our off-grid launchpad campground.

We'll spend the weekend here stocking up supplies, filling our fresh water tank, and fueling up.

Sunday we head off to the wilderness, 2 hours from any city and 30-40 mins from the closest signs of civilization.

We'll be off grid until the first week of October. I'm super excited for the quiet downtime. Still connected and still working for 4 out of the 5 weeks, but the space and solitude will be lovely.

Every time I pack my suitcase in order to move, I get very anxious.

#digitalnomad lifestyle is cool, but it is very chaotic. I wouldn’t recommend it for people who are uncomfortable with inconveniences, and not ready to solve problems.

@skwee357 - so true. M1 MacBook Air user here and it’s an incredible, go-anywhere machine. It’s a good example of technology opening up lifestyle possibilities.

ATM fees in Guatemala are crazy. You will pay anywhere between $4 to $7 for cash withdrawals.

On top of that they will offer you a crazy conversion rate. Luckily you can decline and let your bank do the conversion.

One of the things I appreciate in the M series MacBooks, is the fact that the battery lasts literally forever. It really frees you in terms on working locations. I can sit on a beach, without an electric outlet, and work, as long as I have Wi-Fi.
