We have new results related to our ongoing efforts to develop new #digitalPhenotyping tools to quantify motor impairments of individuals with movement disorders. This time, adults with a range of ataxias used our computer mouse-based system at home. Our measurements correlated strongly with clinical scores and with patient-reported measures. They also had high test-retest reliability.

Our work also contributes to the conversation about digital phenotyping. Currently, a lot of attention is focused on *passive* digital phenotyping, where information about individuals is unobtrusively collected from mobile or wearable devices. This approach produces a lot of data but there a limits to what can be measured this way and to the reliability of such data. In contrast, in this paper we evaluated an *active* digital phenotyping approach.
