My first in-person #AoIR was in 2015 and I identify as an Internet Researcher ever since.

I am a Senior Researcher & Lecturer at the interdisciplinary Human-IST institute (@unifr), coordinating the new Master in #DigitalSociety, and a Senior Researcher in the #ShapingAI project at the HIIG Berlin. In addition, I am the President of the Swiss Federal Media Commission #EMEKCOFEM.

I'm brainstorming new research around identity and belonging in digital urban spaces. I really like concepts of students as co-researchers and student as producer (rip Mike Neary). The underlying socialist principles together with some kind of post Bauhaus new model pedagogy for design and creativity mediated by technology in local city communities is where we are going. It feels real, like it might matter.

#digitalsociety #digitalworld what is so appealing with it? I dont get it? People get watery eyes talking about #wearablecomputers and #id-chip under the skin. #eyelenses with #HUD. And everything has the "smart" added to the name, vaccums, lightbulbs, fridges ... Everything has a app and .. i never buy it if app use is non-optional. I want none of it and miss the appreciation for #analogtech At least i know ballbearings and wheel axles will never be gone, at least not anytime soon..

Stepping back from Social Media for a couple of weeks won't be away altogether but easing off to focus elsewhere #DigitalSociety #SocialMediaRest
