My first in-person #AoIR was in 2015 and I identify as an Internet Researcher ever since.

I am a Senior Researcher & Lecturer at the interdisciplinary Human-IST institute (@unifr), coordinating the new Master in #DigitalSociety, and a Senior Researcher in the #ShapingAI project at the HIIG Berlin. In addition, I am the President of the Swiss Federal Media Commission #EMEKCOFEM.

My research interests are, broadly speaking #STS, #DigitalSociology, #AIgovernance + #AIethics.

#PlatformResearch is when you make #TikTok feed you nazi-memes and you are somewhat happy, even more getting to that pount organically, then boosting the feed be protocolling all those creators and hashtags. There is this ambivalence and ethical concern with those things, which are only topped by the inherent conundrum of making a living from critically researching the world's malices. And there is this dash of sadness to realize that all this is real.
However, the data is hot, and the relieve, I tell you, that you will have at least this result to exploit. Alas, what awkward happiness to have found shit?
Like we could paraphrase in German: Es gibt keine richtige Forschung im Falschen.
