For a taster of what this event is going to be all about...

Transitioning from a linear to circular economy is a HUGE challenge, especially with regard to electrical and electronic equipment. The data centre industry is heavily reliant on such equipment but attention to sustainability typically focusses on energy efficiency and carbon reduction.

Deborah's project, CEDaCI (Circular Economy for the Data Centre Industry), was established to raise awareness about the (un)sustainability of current DCI business practices, and to demonstrate the potential for change and improving material resource efficiency.

Deborah’s talk will describe the overall project journey, achievements and challenges to date along with resources available for use RIGHT NOW! AMAZING! 💚

Feeling pretty good so far this year. I've been taking a lot of care to prioritise where my time goes, especially on the topic of #DigitalSustainability. I've been harnessing the power of 'no', which is a word I have been trained not to utter over many years.

Its hard not to try and help every time you're asked. Especially when you want to spread kindness and frankly you know there's a deadline on humanity getting it's shit together, and the consequence of not doing so is literally upheaval and death on a unimaginable scale ☠️

But anyway, kindness starts with yourself, right? 💚

I've decided to focus my leadership brain energy on:

✔️ My day job at Green Web Foundation as COO and #DigitalSustainability trainer

✔️ Green Tech South West - the meetup community I co-founded in 2020

I'm advising a few hours a week for:

✔️ ClimateAction.tech

✔️ The good folks leading the #WordPress sustainability channel

And that's it. Totally liberating for it to be so focused, and also working on things where I think we have an enormous chance for impact.
