Curious what folks are using for highlighting and #annotation? I've been using #Diigo for many years (10? 15?) and occasionally look for alternatives.

I use #Raindrop which offers some of the same functionality, I'm aware of #Hypothesis but appears a bit more limited than I'd like.

I've tried WorldBrain's #Memex in the past but it was never quite where I wanted and now appears to be pivoting.

Ideal solution is, of course, #OpenSource. 😃

One of the benefits of being on v4.0.2 of Mastodon? Being able to export/import bookmarks. Now, I can import that HUGE list of bookmarks I compiled while on hcommons.social but couldn’t port over to qoto.org. I eventually started using Diigo.com to house my bookmarks. I have created some Wakelet collections, too.

I was just in a seminar for hypothes.is (an #OpenSource web annotation and highlighting tool that I use sometimes for my PhD thesis literature review part). It was so shocking to me to see that they didn’t give a F about feedback and suggestions. All they were looking for was to sell their product!

#hypothesis is an ugly tool with so many logical and technical bugs a issues and I have been putting up with it just because it was OpenSource since the day I ditched #Diigo.
