Dinghy shopping memories from 2015.
Ultimately went with the 3 seater Portabote, which performed rather well. In hindsight, the 2 seater would've perhaps been sufficient. A few fingers were pinched when assembling sometimes.
Enjoyed its robustness when dragging it up beaches or bumping into the occasional sharp rock in the dark, which didn't much bother it, where inflatables would've surely sank.
Attracts a lot of attention wherever parked.

Scarfed the bottom panel, and cut the sheets for the side & chine panels ready to scarf those ahead of drawing the actual panels & cutting final shape. Slight concern with the age of my epoxy, but I will be able to test the joint strength and if its not good enough reinforce with a backing block across all 5 scarfs (then buy new epoxy :( ) #dinghy #boat #boatbuilding
