With all the new folks out there, something I've learned:

If you want to be seeing more chatter, search for a hashtag you can guess to be reasonably common, and you can then follow that hashtag.

This gives you an almost-Twitter-esque "You might be interested in" vibe, except you might ACTUALLY be interested in the posts.

I highly recommend #mosstodon, #LichenSubscribe, #FetaVerse and #DiningCar - the first two are moss & lichens, 3rd is cheeses, 4th: train dining cars (puns are optional!)

Had lunch in the @diningcar in the (not double-decker) IC from Visp to Basel. Again, my usual dish in Swiss dining cars: macaroni, minced meat, shredded cheese, and apple purée. This type of dining car is nicer than the one in the double-decker ICs. More space. #Interrail #diningCar

Lunch in the @diningcar on the ”Panorama Express” from Luzern to Interlaken Ost. (In quotes because this is not a train with a supplement and/or mandatory reservation, but just a regular train, with large windows, sure, and a dining car.) Had this in the #CaledonianSleeper #diningCar going o Scotland two weeks ago and now here in London while trying to have fun the weekend before starting my journey (using train and ship #Interrail ) back home to Finland. Very good. #Achentoshan.

Taking the #nightTrain from London to Fort William. The breakfast menu does not let you make as many choices as on Nightjet, but porridge will be nice. And now to the #diningCar for dinner! And a wee whisky.

The complimentary menus offered in 1st class on LNER and Avanti West Coast do seem great too. I might even do some back and forth trip, like London–Coventry–London or Glasgow–Carlisle–Glasgow, just to enjoy a two-course free meal (i.e. two single courses)...

@timrichards @diningcar The Overland train from Melbourne to Adelaide described this item on the lunch menu as a focaccia. It was OK, light and easy to eat. The dining car is worth a visit for the retro style, but original. Accompanied by a cup of tea, this meal cost about $A10.
