Op zijn 17de gaat hij in 1982 bij #hardcorepunk band #DeepWound met #LouBarlow en #ScottHelland maar de groep split in 1984.
Daarop gaat hij verder met Lou Barlow en #EmmettJeffersonMurphy als leadgitarist met de band #dinosaurJr.
En verkregen nationaal en internationaal succes in het alternatief rockcircuit.

This is the UNDERDOG Dino Jr. album, and arguably the best of the #90s records.
When it came out, people didn’t know it, because the label didn’t promote it at all. It’s a shame, because it’s MONSTROUS.
J’s guitar playing here hits an insane level; particularly on the epic and skull crushing masterpiece “Alone”.
