I started playing The DioField Chronicle for the kid in the hospital tonight. It’s got a more sophisticated and adult tenor than Fire Emblem Engage, which I also recently started and which seems more simplistic and generic than Three Houses was. Relaxing Saturday with some #DioFieldChronicle and X2. It’s been so long since I’ve seen this movie. Almost like it’s brand new again.

@mrpablington @ShareYourGames now that I can actually play games again, and finished Hi-Fi Rush, I’m working through the #backlog.

Probably about a fifth of the way into #DioFieldChronicle. Love the battle system. Everything else, not so much.

A couple of posts on #videogames coming up as I think back on 2022. It's been an interesting year. I love Tactical RPGs, but the genre has been on life support for ages with only #FireEmblem & #XCom remaining.

But this year: #SymphonyOfWar, #TacticsOgreReborn, #KingArthur, #LostEidolons, #MarvelMidnightSuns, #DiofieldChronicle, #ExpeditionsRome ... some of them are very classic, some are very innovative. Not all were great, but as a whole I've really been enjoying the revival of the genre.

Who else is excited for The Diofield Chronicle? Another tactics/strategy RPG—this time with XCOM-esque movement—from Square Enix that will be released later this year.
