I lack the cachet to publicize this correctly, but someone on Insta has been drawing fan art of some of my characters from Dionysus in Wisconsin and I'm blown away. If you're an insta person, go give them a ♥️ maybe.
Here's one of Ulysses:

I almost never post my art here because I don't think it compares well with digital-first art (or with other pencil drawings, honestly). But whatever, I can delete later if I have to. And maybe it's a little charming. For now, have some #FanArt for #DionysusInWisconsin. If you like the vibe, read the book here: amazon.com/dp/B0BZ96HWSP
PS: I borrowed colored pencils from my 5yo to finish this.

There's a scene in #DionysusInWisconsin where the MCs go to a bar that is, in my head, a bar I have occasionally gone to called the Harmony--a real townie bar out on the East Side. But I didn't give the name or exact location b/c I didn't know what was there in the late 60s. It turns out that there was a bar in that location since 1944, and for a few decades it was owned/run by a running buddies' grandfather!

#WritingWonders 6/3: Share art of your WIP world.
This is Keenan House, called (eventually) Gooseberry House in the books. It was originally built in 1858 by a guy named Napoleon Bonaparte Van Slyke, but never occupied by him (his wife died during the building and he moved away). Keenan was a doctor who lived there around 1900-1916. The style is Romanesque Revival, the brick is Milwaukee cream brick, and it tickles me no end to give it to a bohemian family of Bolsheviks.

I think I have worked through all the comments left in the text of the novel. Barring a few Latin phrases I need to pressure Jesse into reviewing and other similar things, I think I'm suddenly done with the text. Onward to typesetting!
And then, I will start draft two of the sequel?
