Dirty Dancing
Movie with one of the best soundtracks in cinema history with songs perfectly placed. The movie tackles quite bunch, class differences, abortion access, perception of women in a captivating story about growing up.
The movie started a dance craze back then.
My favourite movie from the 80s by far and still awesome after hundreds of rewatches.

I thought it was softcore porn for dancers. But this was soo much more. Talk of class, poverty, art, quick love, women's health, and the boring-ness of wealth.
All to some some seriously impressive dancing that isnt just dance-wanking, it is an active part of the story. I think the script could have been more. But the acting makes that not matter. So expressive.

The #powerBallad was not released commercially in the UK, but it managed to peak at No. 82 in January 1988.

Aber da ist nix drin, was die Kids heute nicht ständig auch auf Insta & TikTok sehen würden. Und es geht u.a. um Abtreibung, was man leicht vergisst, weil die meisten nur die Lovestory im Kopf behalten. #DirtyDancing
