My parents were these weird hybrid hippies. We grew up with Dylan, PP&M, Baez, The Stones, Beatles, Dead, Jefferson Airplane, plus a smattering of Patsy Cline, John Denver etc. One of our favorites was The Buffalo Springfield "For what it's worth" The quintessential protest song it was recently covered to great effect by the Dirty Heads.
