@Cryo Would that pretty much just be deletion performance? That's the one case I've found annoying (mainly because I'm using to backup to ZFS)

@candletrading was too big of a change from dired for me too. Hard to explain why, but probably because it tried to have one buffer to manage sessions rather than many.

That and also changing some defaults from dired that oddly messes with my workflow a lot.

I just switched from (which can not handle out-of-disk-space situations properly) to backup (since is unmaintained).
