Blind Willie McTell lost his eyesight in childhood, and learned to read music in Braille. His composition "Stateboro Blues" was covered by Taj Mahal in 1968, and by the Allman Brothers Band live in 1971.

He wasn't disabled, just highly talented …

This guy has a rare eye disease called nystagmus, where his eyes constantly make uncontrollable movements and he can't really see. He runs some kind of charity/ raises funds for kids who are afflicted.

To my knowledge he's the only unsigned artist ever to be given a Fender signature model.
