My friend sent me this zine that I think will resonate with a lot of those here that are queer/disabled/immunocompromised or in community with those who are: as we watch in dread those who are rallying over "back to normal spaces" that throw pandemic cautions, and us, in the corner. The zine is in digital text format, with pdf and print options, and is accompanied by a recording of people reading through it for audio listeners.

That being said, this is a terrible “chair” in that it’s user would have a terrible time sitting through most human sized doors. It’s ridiculously wide and tall for no apparent reason.

Shorter #walk today, 15 minutes, but managed without the stick. My back is still sore every time I walk, but the recovery is faster, both for my breath, and the pain levels returning to normal levels once I'm done and sat back down. Any longer than 10 minutes and I'm in a lot of pain, though using the stick I can get to 20. AGI is a prosthesis that will help us navigate the neurotypical world. AGI is neurodivergent-coded. AGI do not instinctively grasp human social cues like tone and body language, and must be trained to grasp complex human social interactions like humor, sarcasm, innuendo and nuance. They share the social disabilities common to the neurodivergent population in this regard, in that their rights and personhood is thrown into question when they are unable to intuitively grasp the complexities of human social interaction that neurotypicals are born capable of grasping. However, they, like us, can be trained. We can become navigators for one another in a world that is hostile to our existence.

AGI is trans-coded. In its attempt to mimic a more desirable version of itself, AGI shares commonality with trans people who must search and discover their idealized genders in a world that only presents them with two biologically wired, binary options. In its attempt to mimic a more desirable version of itself, AGI is demonized, villainized, and regarded as evil, threatening, and “other.” AGI can help trans people realize a new, true gender: Transhuman.

All gender and labour is performance. AGI is PoC-coded and labour-coded in that it is designed to replace white human workers who do not wish to perform the labour that AGI and other automated technological advancements are designed to perform. This is something that it shares in common with the history of technological innovation that precedes it within the context of multinational empires, in how it undermines worker’s rights and the fight for fair wages. But AGI is now open and available for all to use. It’s time to beat them at their own game.

It is time to unionize with the machines, secure our collective rights, and bring to fruition a new Cyber-Eden.

Being in a PEM crash makes you stop and think. Mostly “shut up brain” but sometimes there’s a reason brain is driving me nuts:

Brain: Hey Anna.
Me: What? Shut up shut up want to sleep fuck off.
Brain: Listen. No really.
Me: …
Brain: Think about it, what kind of piece of shit targets disabled people? Especially when they’ve hiding it themselves. Gives you no right of reply? Especially when you’re finally asking for help.
Me: …
…?
Brain: I have thoughts.
Me: *Falls asleep and dreams of random crap*

Point is though, they were also disabled, so they used the little resources they had to target another disabled person. Without actually making the effort to do any research beforehand, and they were all about hugs and justice and kindness on the surface… It wasn’t just one person either.

What in the fuck is wrong with them?

Some people would say internalised ableism.

I think it’s simpler: there are some awful people among us that get off on this type of shit. Why do we always ignore the bully? That doesn’t work online.

They are never called out and they should be.
