Pickering werkt bij #DischordRecords waar ze op haar eerste dag een bord neerhaalt met daarop "NO SKIRTS ALOWD".
Pickering werd de "Mother of the revolution" genoemd.
De bandleden werden heel veel beschimpt tijdens optredens door tegenstanders van lgbtq en door het zwarte bandlid viel hen ook puur racisme ten deel.
De band is legendarisch en de aanzet voor de riot grrrl scene.
