I took a hike through Discovery Park yesterday, starting at the north parking lot and going down to the West Point Lighthouse, then back. My intent was to get a shot of the lighthouse with the Olympic Mountains in the background, as well as whatever else might catch my eye.
Turns out, the lighthouse area was a great place to catch the Blue Angels practicing for the #Seafair air shows this weekend!

#FolsomDam is increasing water releases up to 8,000 CFS. If the rain continues through Saturday (12/31) could potentially release up to 20,000 CFS.
#Flooding is forecast for areas around Cosumnes River at Michigan Bar (East of Rancho Murrieta), Wilton, Cosumnes River at McConnell (South Elk Grove), and Mokelumne River at Benson’s Ferry (East of Walnut Grove).
The #Sacramento River at I Street will also reach 22 ft, not a flood, but will result in the closure of #DiscoveryPark to the public.
