I am honestly doubtful if hand hygiene is all that important in any respiratory virus, but the cost of hand washing is so low, and the potential benefit so large and obvious, that I'm 100% on board with keeping doing it regularly. I'm not aware of any good DATA--not just physician's lore--demonstrates fomite or droplet transmission.
