Because so many mental health professionals are either biased against folks or know less than nothing about it, many plural folks are rightfully suspicious of them. This means it can be tough to communicate actual knowledge about that has been obtained through scientific research.

Sadly, a lot of these are case studies, so we also can't be entirely sure that we can trust that the data we obtain from these studies are generalizable. So when someone speaks about the of , they must do it with the knowledge that what they have could only apply to a proportion of plurals, and a small proportion at that.

With that in mind, as a professional with expertise in and disorders generally and as a plural, I'd like to serve as a bridge between the latest research and the plural .

First, I want to talk about personality disorders and how even in the presence of a given PD's symptoms, a plural can be misdiagnosed as having a personality disorder when they do not.

TITLE: DiD, Vestibular Balance Issues, Brainscans, and Neurology

I'm a mental health clinician looking for resources and research papers
on the intersection of ( Identity Disorder),
anomalies, and .  I am familiar with most of the
counseling theory around DiD -- but what does it look like from a
( ) point of view?  Do the
exhibit different brain activity when activated?

So say that a patient with DiD ( ) was undergoing
treatment for vestibular balance disorders and switching some between
alters as the exercises were done.  Is anything known on what this
medically would look like in the brain?  How a neurologist would be
likely to view the behaviors witnessed?

Thanks,

My most annoying thing about living with dissociative disorders isn't the fog rolling in, feeling unreal, one's fractured mind compartmentalizing itself, it's the random deletion of things that I have been doing since the Internet started. SMH.
My intro is gone, I might do another, but the part of me that insists on pretending I don't exist comes out during stress. And I am so stressed.
Been working on it for 20 yrs, currently working w/ new therapist who I think can help.
