The great problem with attempting to map out #politics along any axis is that the actual beliefs and voting records of people are not necessarily consistent. People can and often do hold wildly #dissonant beliefs and voting records.

This is the major reason why American politics are so fucked up beyond repair—neither #Democrats nor #Republicans have self-consistent political belief systems. Each political party is egregiously self-contradictory in crucial areas of #politics.

Before I started my current career, I worked in retail. Accordingly, for about a month every year, for far too many years, I heard a never-ending flood of radio-friendly Christmas music for eight or nine hours every day, and to this day, whenever I'm exposed to it even briefly, I worry I may break out in hives.

It created an incongruous gap in my thoughts and the more I meditated on the word the further I got from any real understanding of where I needed to be. I will have to try later or I'm going to end my day harmonically unresolved.
