The UK is using increasingly inhumane policies against migrants. The most recent example is a floating barge called Bibby Stockholm which has been compared to a floating prison and is being used as a detention facility for migrants. We spoke to the volunteer-run migrant charity Care4Calais, putting the migrant barge in the context of the UK's anti-migration offensive. Joe Cullinane of Care4Calais argues that the UK government's demonization of migrants is being used to distract attention from larger domestic crises.

I used to think it silly how many #images were #sensitive on #Mastodon. Then I realized it's not just for trigger warnings and objectionable content, but to respect the structural integrity of people's streams.
