@ncommander Granted that's not common for #Distros to do so, and my goal with #OS1337 was to make something more practical than #Floppinux which can barely output some text on screen - at least connect to somethng else that is useful.

OFC I'll release it once tested and satisfactory in useability for what I want to achieve with it.

But yeah, there isn't much beyond #musl being shared among those processes, so it's mostly a tradeoff that'll cost storage or RAM in more extensive setups...

After multiple different #distros failing miserably, #netrunneros23 (on my spare laptop @epp ) took 5 minutes with an #hdmi cable 🤓👍 #Debian (stable) #ftw. My daily use laptop on #ManjaroLinux did exactly the same 🤓👍

Rhino Linux Delivers an Ubuntu-Based Rolling Release

The first stable release of Rhino Linux is available to download. Rhino Linux is a rolling-release Linux distro based on (remember what site you’re reading) Ubuntu. It’s a community-based project and not an official Ubuntu flavour or remix. I assume (though I may be wrong) there’s some lineage with the Rolling Rhino effort that emerged in 2020. Following a series of (successful) beta builds, Rhino Linux 2023.1 is available to download. This snapshot release is available for 64-bit Intel/AMD systems and ARM64, with specific builds provided for Pine64 and Raspberry Pi devices. There’s no “change log” of features specific to :sys_more_orange:

Zorin OS 16.3 Released with Upgrade Tool, LibreOffice 7.5

A new version of Ubuntu-based Zorin OS is available to download. Zorin OS 16.3 introduces a number of refinements that, its developers say, help “elevate your computing experience even further”. On paper, the inclusion of the new Zorin OS Upgrader app is Zorin OS 16.3’s tentpole feature. This tool has been in a year in development. It allows users to upgrade from one version of Zorin OS to another, be it a new version (e.g., a point release like this one) or a different edition (such as going from Zorin OS Lite to Zorin OS Pro). Pull that party popper ‘cos Linux Mint 21.2 ‘Victoria’ is now officially available to download. This release is the stable series successor to last year’s Linux Mint 21.1 release. It remains based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and runs atop Linux kernel 5.15. Most of you (I imagine) already know about Linux Mint 21.2’s new features as they’ve been covered here and on other Linux blogs pretty heavily over the past few months. But if you’re you’re somehow not aware then you’re in for a modest treat. Linux Mint 21.2 includes: Linux Mint 21.2 also includes Cinnamon 5.8, the latest version :sys_more_orange:

Just installing Crunchbang plusplus 12 on an old laptop. Crunchbang has always been one of my favourite #distros. It's remarkably fast, even on old kit, and uses the Openbox DE. Enjoyable
