I'm in a pub that my husband and I love, but unfortunately, since it's in Park Slope Brooklyn it's overrun by babies and kids on Fridays and weekends. Free range kids. I just got here in time to save us a table cause I had off for Eid. I order a beer while a toddler is screaming at the top of his lungs. The bartender and I look at each other with withered expressions and I say "I guess he needs a drink".

I accidentally ended up in an elves-only dive bar once. If you’re over 4’6”, you do not want to hang around The Broken Candy Cane past the witching hour on a Tuesday night.

You might find yourself getting de-yeti’d, which involves a *complete* shave and tinsel where tinsel shouldn’t go at all. And whatever you do, don’t let anyone buy you a rusty toy machine.

Barely got out of there with my snickerdoodles intact. It was really lucky I know how to both moonwalk and sing Jingle Bells backwards in Pig Latin.

Going back next weekend.

dive bar review:
Thee Stork Club has been cleaned, classed up and reopened. drinks are cheap, there's a 7' red velvet pool table that's FREE and the outside smoking area tribute to john waters' (who is not an owner as previously posted but was apparently at the reopening.) pink flamenco's theme is a nice touch.
