It's really wild to me that a) screamo is a thing again and b) that the friendly, punk DIY political community vibe in Toronto and Hamilton has been taken up by screamo. I'm really into it because the diy scene, revolving around any genre, has such a good vibe and draws in nice people trying to be earnest and sincere while doing the things they love.

That being said, I am still hoping some more hardcore bands pop up and join in they DIY scene for my own selfish reasons.

I had an idea for a YouTube show. 📺

I have a weird hobby (?) where I buy Amazon returns for cheap and (if needed) I fix them. 🤔

The result is while I may not have matching decor, I do end up paying a lot less for furniture, appliances, computer and gaming hardware.

When I was on #welfare someone gave me a #cookbook called "Cooking for the Poor Gourmand." I actually felt that was an apt gift, since that title summarizes a great deal about me: lots of ambition, low on resources. Which is not a totally depressing thing; there are few feelings better than when I've managed to make something with nothing. I guess that's what I do most of the time.

I've never had any other choice than #DIYorDIE ... but it's nice buying things that already work.

I did a thing... Well, most of a thing, I need a switch and some pots & to make the big decision on whether or not to try to wire this before or after the pre-amp, but it's on ther and it works with when I aligator-clip it together. (this is build #4 on this, first 2 I cut way out of the lines experimenting with a dremel jigsaw bit, #3 snapped in half drilling the final hole, this one just works.) #DIYorDIE

First time I've ever made Ravioli myself -- fully #Vegan filled with spinach, cashew based cream cheese and a ton of #garlic. I used way to much oil to toast them in the end but it turned out rather tasty. #diyordie

And no: this is unfortunately not my kitchen but a shared kitchen at some friends place; wish I had a place closer to the flat I'm currently living in.

Cloth patch log: First time color. Not absolutely satisfied (colors are actually darker when you look at it but I needed to use the camera flash to include the pine tree) but I had some good ideas in regards of using multiple layers. #DIYorDie #stencil #fox
