Heut ist schon der vierte Tag, an dem der neue 280Ah #LiFePo4 DIY Akku lädt, mit allem was meine Solaranlage liefern kann (~160-200W bei dem Wetter). Und heut scheint endlich mal der Punkt erreicht zu werden, an dem das Ding 100% voll wird :D
Dabei wird mir klar, wie gewaltig viel Energie doch 3,6KWh Stunden sind :-O

Das war ein ertragreicher Tag ☺️
Aufgrund der Bedingungen hier bei mir, kann ich von den insgesamt 360Wp Solarmodulen "nur" 182W abgreifen, wegen Aufstellung, Temperatur usw. An einem so sonnigen Tag wie heut, kommt dann in Summe doch eine ganze KWh zusammen :)
Damit der gestern neu installierte 280Ah #LiFePo4 Akku jedoch voll wird, braucht es noch zwei weitere solcher Tage :D Lt Wetterbericht bleiben auch die nächsten Tage sonnenreich ☀️

Update on bus stuff!
Electrical is fully assembled!! Solar panels are ON the roof! The grey wire is an extension cord which is powering a power strip 🤩 and we have one cigarette lighter plug installed for charging phones on 12/24V when the inverter is off.
First camping trip in the bus this weekend will be LIT (by our bright AF lights--first photo was taken inside at night)!
Fully powered by the sun 🤪🌟🌞 100% built by yours truly

Yesterday at lunch time, for the first time since I assembled my "testbed" solar DIY installation in our garden at the end of last year, I registered a period where our house consumed zero power (0kW) from the grid. Production from 2 solar panels covered all our baseline usage (fridge, hot water, connectivity, etc).
Unfortunately, the first couple of weeks in January, things were pretty lackluster owing to lots of dark days and bad weather (rain).

It was 0 kWh.
What?!?
Well, the system was off for the last few cold days (no insulated battery box yet), and the charge controller's clock was reset, so at 4pm - thinking midnight - it cleared the daily counter. So there was charge, but no record.
Moral of the story: half-finished systems don't work well.
