Went to check the beehive this afternoon and this spunky gorgeous creature decided to hitch a ride on my pants on the way back to the house.

This magnificent beastie is a Chrysolopus Spectabilis, a type of weevil. They like acacia trees and I'm guessing it likes our place because of all the blackwoods. Which is where I put it after taking this photo.

The termites are getting it on tonight!

The warm weather is bringing all of the insects out to play. Everything is alive and buzzing and smelling amazing.

Finishing off preparations for my intro to gardening course at the Castlemaine Community House tomorrow. I can sneak in an extra person if you want in. It's a bargain course! 12 hours for $50. Women and non-binary only for this course.

My focus is on practical, accessible, edible gardening for people on a budget. Each course works specifically to the needs of the participants and we have a heap of fun learning and growing together.
