Got to thinking about my shitpost of Donkey Kong 64 & to be honest; the #artist direction of #DK64 is criminally underrated. Almost everything looks very close to what a #promotional #render would look like (granting the HW limitations.)
This was done by really honing in on the #artstyle and also intelligently using shading to create #illusion of shapes.
Enguarde the swordfish is a excellent representation of this and so are Troff & Scoff as their models look great!
