I'm trying to decide between two window manager setups:
1)
#dwm, manage windows https://dwm.suckless.org/
#dmenu, launch programs https://tools.suckless.org/dmenu/
#passmenu, access passwords
#dlarm, set alarm https://github.com/codesections/dlarm
#tmux, manage panes https://github.com/tmux/tmux/wiki
#run-or-raise, run program or focus it if already running https://github.com/Soft/run-or-raise
2)
#stumpwm, all of the above + more with extensive lisp config, https://stumpwm.github.io/
Which of these is simpler? Better? #unixPhilosophy
#dmenu #dwm #passmenu #dlarm #tmux #run #stumpwm #unixphilosophy
#dlarm, my CLI alarm system for #dwm, is now v0.2.0, which includes colorized output, testing, and a fix for an off-by-one error in the method it uses for guessing at less-than-ideal user input.
(Why, yes, this *is* mostly an excuse to toot about dlarm at a different time of day/for people in different time zones, why do you ask? The r/rust thread for the project is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/rust/comments/ag24m3/dlarm_the_cli_alarm_for_dwm_my_first/)
Just released my first #rust project: #dlarm, the #CLI alarm for #dwm.
Here's the r/rust thread with links to the project: https://www.reddit.com/r/rust/comments/ag24m3/dlarm_the_cli_alarm_for_dwm_my_first/
