WATO is such a handy tool. It will be making an appearance in my next blog post. I used WATO to support connecting a family branch where a name change hid the identity of the immigrant to the US.

@OurAncestors Have you tried using the #WATO tool on the #DNAPainter website to create a tree of your cluster and generate some different scenarios of where you might fit?
@Auriette
Belatedly I remembered the #LeedsMethod : https://www.danaleeds.com/the-leeds-method/
This allows you to create clusters (the "sides") for use in #DNApainter

@david @genealogy I'm an ancestry subscriber bet I'm mainly concentrating on adding my work to #wikitree as it's open access for everyone. Lately I've been copying days from #gedmatch matches into spreadsheets to make it easier to analyze. Also a big fan of #dnapainter

The one #genealogy tool that I rely on most heavily is Google Translate! My top website is ArkivDigital for Swedish research. And #DNAPainter is invaluable.
Last year through doing #ancestrydna I matched to my half 1st cousin 3x removed, let's call him V for this post. At the time I couldn't find any way we were #related.
When I put our CM into #DNAPainter I realised it was likely he was related through my Great Grandad's father, whom he never knew.
When I put this information to V he confirmed his Grandad was most likely my Great Grandads father!

I have #DNA matches in #Australia with no known connection to my relatives. I entered the matches into the #DNAPainter #WATO tool and it's suggesting the most likely common ancestors would be my 3rd-great-grandparents in #Italy. Will need to research my great-grandfather's cousins and their descendants. #genealogy
