دیروز #dnscrypt رو روی این سیستم نصب کرده بودم ولی حواسم نبود و سیستمم ازش استفاده نمی‌کرد. امروز تنظیمش کردم و طوری تنظیمش کردم که به طور خودکار سریع‌ترین رو استفاده کنه (این‌جوری که لیست سرورهاش خالی باشه خودش این‌کار رو می‌کنه) و واقعا روی سرعت اینترنتم تأثیرش رو حس می‌کنم الان.

@dsfgs I currently use #inviZible pro which runs #Tor, #DNSCrypt & I2P, allows me to view all DNS requests made by apps as well as routing my browser thru an #I2P #outproxy if I want, loved it so much I donated. I wish there was a good I2P torrent client for android but I'll just stick to my PC for that.

Found an interesting fact: When using 192.168.1.1 and 1.1.1.1, the ip leak test site (ip.voidsec.com/) finds out my real IP, while using a #dnscrypt proxy (DoH resolver) which is sitting in my LAN, it is not leaked.

Yep this week I solved the startup issue of #dnscrypt-proxy (maybe again) in #pmos / #alpinelinux (they are using #openrc).

The startup failed because of the file/dir ownership not match. Dnscrypt-proxy needs to start as root then drop to user by itself and it needs to modify its dir in /var/cache, so...

The solution is to set user as root but group as dnscrypt, in its init script.

But I'm afraid I don't have to report upstream, so... anyone could #help?

Having installed #debian #bookworm (well I did originally upgrade from bullseye but then decided on a clean install), I have been pleased to see the point releases from #xfce continue to transition into testing.

This should mean #debian #bookworm with #xfce should be pretty much the latest-and-greatest versions at the point of full-freeze which is likely in a couple of months.

But it's super stable now, and all packages I use outside one are still in #bookworm. I've manually installed #dnscrypt-proxy and set up a reminder to check for updates rather than blindly apply via a cron job.
