Has anyone out there experienced a doctor (GP, etc) who not only said "you should lose weight," but also provided a means to safely & cheaply do so? When I was a kid, doctors would provide patients with a nationally-approved diet & exercise plan (this was decades ago).

Do any doctors (esp in the US) still do that? Feel free to comment below. Just curious. 🙂
