I'm only using four of the pads in this video. They each are connected to a #doepfer A-135-4C Quad Envelope Follower (which is the magic piece to create the dynamic response and envelope all in one place).
If you want to do this yourself, keep in mind that the signal will need about 5-10 db of gain to drive across the full CV range.
If anyone is curious about anything, just ask!
