I've only lived in the US since 1985 & had no idea that was the case.

Y'all up there can look at the US healthcare "system" w/pity (you should!) but in Lower Canada, CAQ is trying to make it more US-like all the time & in Upper Canada, #DoFo is doing the same.

Y'all need to riot more instead of just after hockey games.

I have to say, when we moved to our current location, we didn't have to wait months or years to be "assigned" a primary care MD.

Turns out that whether we end up in Upper or Lower Canada (will be within 100 km of Montreal in either case) may be decided by that. Apparently, my assumption that OHIP was "better" than a Carte Soleil may not be accurate ...

Toronto has a new mayor, Olivia Chow. She's the widow of one of the most popular leader of our national NDP party. That's great news but next to that, an ex-cop named Saunders finished 3rd out of about 45 candidates with 6% of the vote. Why is that great news? Because Doug Ford, ex-drug dealer, endorsed him. As soon as I saw that, I said to myself, "That's the kiss of death."
