Woke up to my heeler sick and that lovely clean up 😔. I'm about to do some major melon cutting today and remembered I had a cup of chunk 🍉 in the fridge. I remembered when I threw the rind out last year, shed chase off squirrels to eat it herself. So I portioned it out and put it in front of her.
My girl chowed down big time. I'm glad she'll rehydrate pretty quickly now, because I was trying to figure out a good way she'd actually accept. So far so good.

One very bored dog waiting for his 15th chemotherapy session - I guess you can call him a chemo veteran. He tolerates it really well thank goodness. Our week off chemo with our dog Ringo and what happens? He develops an abscess on his ear where he has had a tiny lump since he was a puppy (sebaceous cyst). Back to the vet (again). Bacterial infection probably caused by immune system suppression because of the splenectomy and chemo. Abscess sorted, treatment explained, check up on Sunday at next chemo treatment. Today was Ringo's 11th chemotherapy session. 17 weeks ago, the vets found a tumor on his spleen and he had a splenectomy. He tolerates the chemo really well. He had an ecodoppler today which showed no obvious tumors on his internal organs. His blood tests were slightly better than last time and he had put on another 200gms. So he is now 11.7kilos (from an original 13kilos). He is such a good boy, he lifts his paw for the Vet to insert the needle.
