@katze There aren’t many apps better than Obsidian. Not Logseq, nor Notion. Tana seemed okay in an organization sense but it’s web-based only. Beyond that, maybe #Dokuwiki if you’re after a wiki-style thing.

@maker_tom that's an excellent question, and spoiler: I don't currently have a solution for this.

I would guess the likes of #Notion (heavy user at work), #Obsidian (heavy, but imperfect user personally) could work (currently the former seems a better fit than the latter for what you asked), of course nether is OSS.

Without doing more research, I would go with a Wiki sogtware (#DokuWiki is what I use, handy & expandable, but also has quirks). I guess all just a step forward in what you need.

I recently went through a long search journey for a wiki. Tried a few like #mkdocs, #DokuWiki and #Outline. Since I have users who have no experience (and will 🙂) to learn Markdown, I decided to go with #WikiJS as it is also quite easy to set up.

Yes, I'm planning to publish a list. The first thing I'd like to do is a small static website (using #hugo) to be published at the https://bsd.cafe address - pointing at all the services we're offering. Then, a wiki (I still don't know if I'm going to install #DokuWiki or use the #Forgejo wiki itself) with the ideas - to-do-list, so #BSDCafe friends can contribute and help.

Whenever I do computer work like this, I like to setup a page on my private wiki to initially keep chronological notes, and latterly reorganise said notes to give me one or more concise pages.
In this case I'll end up with one page for #zfs and one for #nixos

My choice of wiki is #dokuwiki a flat file web app that is easy to setup and maintain.

Im Job wird ein System gesucht, mit dem man Produkt-Doku erstellen & verwalten kann.

Also für verschiedene Produkte mit Zuordnungen zu Releases, einer intelligenten Suche (die verwandte Suchbegriffe finden/vorschlagen soll), mit Benutzergruppen (Kunden, Partner, etc). Idealerweise mit Addons für Bewertungen usw.

Est-ce qu'il y a des experts de #Dokuwiki dans le coin ? Je cherche desesperemment à pouvoir intégrer des petites icônes sur mon Wiki mais malgré l'installation du plugin Icons qui s'est déroulée sans problème, la popup est vide. Sans doute un problème mineure pour les habitués mais je bloque.

Also, I recently got onboard the #Obsidian train, and it's just so good. I still use a few different documentation systems for different tasks though - besides Obsidian I also use #Notion and a personal #DokuWiki (for static documentation, mainly for my #homelab).

Das ist hilfreich, wenn man z. B. oft auf bestimmte Websites verlinkt, statt [Text](https://natenom.de/lala/li) nutzt man dann [Text](nat>/lala/li).

Ändert sich die Domain, ändert man eine einzige Stelle, done. :)

- Updated base image to ubuntu 23.04.
- Reduced over wire image size to 72 MB (down roughly 10MB).

Wer ein #Dokuwiki selbst betreibt sollte bei einem Update auf #Release 2023-04-04 "Jack Jackrum" aufpassen, da die Ausführung von HTML- bzw. PHP-Code danach nicht mehr möglich ist. Dies wurde aus Sicherheistgründen im Code von Dokuwiki entfernt. Abhilfe schafft ein #Plugin mit dem Namen #htmlok (Allows embed HTML and PHP). Installieren und danach im Konfigurations-Manager die entsprechende Option aktivieren. Danach sollte es wieder funktionieren.
