Today I was able to capture to mountain huts in one picture. In the foreground you see the Doldenhornhütte (1'916m / 6,286ft) and straight above it on the ridge in the background you can see the Bluemlisalphütte (2'835m / 9'301ft).

It will take a normal hiker approx 5h30m to walk from the Doldenhornhütte to the Bluemlisalphütte.

I have been to the Doldenhornhütte before, but always from the Kandersteg side. Today I went from the Doldenhorn Hotel and this is an even nicer hike up. Lots of shade, but still lots of views.

Went up early, so arrived the guests who spent the night were already on their way. Had the surroundings to myself. Coffee with a superb "Cremeschnitte".

The view to the Oeschinensee is magical. After a small hour I went down via a slightly different route (but this one was also new for me).

As this hike can be done in about 4 hours, I guess I have a new favorite morning hike.
