How did an old metal plaque from end up in a heap in ? My family had Boston connections in the early 1900s, and they seem to be manifesting a century later, out of my late Nana’s garden! &Watkins

Hey, , and etc. people, I have a random knowledge request

I just randomly thought: "Yes, there used to be a type of bush people used to plant close to their homes because it was easy to hang laundry to dry on it - it had nice sturdy branches with minimal gunk most of the year, also it was good for making broomsticks."

I'd like to know if anyone else has ever heard of this or if my brain decided to hallucinate this random "fact" as if it read it somewhere 😄

Weather like this makes us appreciate modern conveniences so much!

Imagine dealing with snow in layers of cotton & wool, then hand washing and drying by the open fire.

How would a wool coat (if you could afford one) ever get properly dry from now to March?
