The 13th century #Dominicanerkerk (dominican church) in my hometown #Maastricht, now a national #heritage site, served multiple functions throughout the years (from a snake exposition, & bike shed, to a venue for Carnaval celebrations). It's current function, a bookstore, including a #medieval #mural depicting the life of Thomas #Aquinas, is by far my favorite, & I always visit it when I go back home for the holidays ❤️ @medievodons @histodons @renaissance
