@HTB1943 @allenmichie In fact Creed gave Chet his comeback chance in 1974 after he'd cleaned up (sadly temporarily) and got his teeth fixed. "She Was Too Good To Me" is I think such a beautiful album. It's #DonSebesky arranged and conducted, but is pretty minimal by his big band standards.
Creed also reunited Chet and Gerry Mulligan in 1975 for a #CarnegieHall concert, that had it's "issues". I'm planning to talk to the recording engineer Dave Hewitt some time soon.

It's been a fun few times talking to and poking about in the photographic, video and painting archive of Alan Kaplan. His picture from his social commentary "Study in Gray" - The Dull Life of Women in 1969 was used without permission or payment it seems on the cover of #DonSebesky album "Rape Of El Morro". In that context it's deep and brooding, seen in it's original context it takes on a whole different perspective. #CTIrecords #CreedTaylor
