So, yesterday I said that I wonder if my deity gets tired of keeping my dumb ass alive...Now I'm questioning if either my deity or another deity is trying to kill me at this point because I just got attacked by a mama and a papa pair of plovers.

So to recap, yesterday I drove on a road WHERE THERE WAS NO ROAD CLOSED SIGN so on this road, that was full of holes, and half of the road literally just disappeared. I nearly flipped my car over and fell off a cliff.

Today, I was attacked by a pair of plovers

Last month somone crashed into me and totalled my car

Last year a dog bit me and I had to go to the hospital

And so you want to know what I do that's so dangerous I put my life out on the line everytime I leave my house...I'm a door dasher.

You read that right...I deliver food to people who are hungry...that's it.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring but rest assure I won't be ready for it.

I’ve been using #DoorDash pretty frequently the past 2 years, thanks to a credit card discount giving me free delivery.

And even with that free delivery discount, I deleted my DoorDash account tonight. Because I have no real recourse with the restaurant if my order is mangled. And because I’m tired to Dash’s shitty 50% refunds for 100% missing items.

#DoorDash, #UberEats, et al, are going die out, for the same reason every meta-restaurant-delivery service fails:

Quality control.

Drivers who do not work for the restaurant that they deliver for are going to miss things. It’s an inevitable consequence of too many details to get right. Too many receipt formats. Too many names: restaurants, items, streets, people.
